Pia Chatterjee is a writer, essayist and a member of the SF Writers Grotto. Pia's novel in progress, ALL THE HAPPY FAMILIES was a finalist for Tin House's 2023 submissions for debut novels.Pia has won the Ledge prize for fiction, was named the Emerging fellow at San Francisco Writers Grotto, and was a finalist for the Bread Loaf-Rona Jaffe Foundation award.
Pia has work published or upcoming in CNN, San Francisco Chronicle, 7X7, Alta Magazine, Zyzzyva, Hyphen, and other places. She has frequently appeared at Litquake in San Francisco, and attended both Tin House and Bread Loaf workshops.
Pia, who has a B.A. in English Literature from Oxford University and a MFA from UC Riverside, lives in San Francisco with her husband and son.

All writers, experienced or otherwise, are intimidated by starting a novel. Where to start? How to edit? What's the simplest way to create structure? In this one day class, we will get a quick cheat-sheet on the novel writing process, including time-lines, editing, and querying agents.
Corporate Writing

All businesses have stories - how they were formed, why they were formed, what problem do they solve and for whom. Having this narrative built out, goes a long way in telling the corporate story. In this class, we will build out the materials and messages suited for corporate story-telling greared towards early stage start-ups.
