Pia Chatterjee was granted the SF Grotto fellowship for emerging writers. Previously, she won the Ledge fiction competition and was named a finalist for the BreadLoaf-Rona Jaffe Foundation scholarship.
Pia's stories have appeared in The Ledge, Pen Pusher(UK), and India Currents. Her personal essays have been published in the San Francisco Chronicle and in the Chicken Soup for the Indian Soul (India). The first chapter of her recently completed novel has been published in the 12th issue of Pen Pusher magazine. As a freelance journalist, Pia has written articles for various magazines and business publications. Currently, Pia is blogging about writers and writing at SFGate.com.
Pia grew up in Calcutta, India and has a B.A. in English Literature from Oxford University.
